    Camping
Camping is available around some of the reservoir and is maintained by the Sheldon Wildlife Refuge. Bathrooms are avaialble.

    Advice and Tips
To avoid the wind and get the best fishing in while you can, especially for float-tubes, the best times to fish the reservoir are during the spring and fall months and usually in the early mornings and late afternoons. This is very typical of desert reservoirs.

For fly-fisherman some of the flies that we've found as a constant win for catching rainbows have been black and olive wooly buggers along with several scud patterns.

For shore fisherman, you can never lose with Power bait or worms.

We're always looking for advice on fishing the Big Springs Reservoir, so please feel free to send us an email and let us know how what works: fishingnevada@yahoo.com.
